The Point of No Return

posted in: News | 0

I have come to the point of no return. There’s no turning back now. I have finished my short film screenplay. Maybe not quite. I still have to polish it, check grammar & spelling, dialogues, and more. But, the most important thing is that I have reached the point where I can, finally, type FADE OUT & THE END! And that I am happy with the plot. So, I won’t make any more change. I could start shooting my film this week. I have lots of actors which I need to go through and select. So, after I have added the finishing touches to my script, I will ask the actors I have shortlisted to send in their self tape auditions. Then, I’ll take it from there. I will have to make my selection quickly since I want to complete the film before Christmas.

One of the reasons why I attend martial arts classes because I want to be able to do the fight scenes in my film confidently & authentically. I want the audiences to experience the reel sense of originality. I want them to see that the actors in my film, including me, do know how to perform the fighting scenes professionally because we have been trained and trained. So, I am happy that I have returned to the martial arts workshops. I have not been there maybe for about a couple of months because I was busy filming. I have a commitment to make this film. And I will carry it through. So, I devote myself to create a good film. Therefore, I must have a real knowledge in martial arts skills, to make the characters in my film more believable. If I don’t believe in it myself because I don’t know how to, technically, fight how am I going to convince my audiences?

Facebook: (the film page called “Disguised Film” since I don’t think I’m going to use the initial title anyway, Love & Fall. I’m going to change it to something that reflects action packed film. But for now, I use Disguise, which I may change it again)
