Practise San Shou Kuan

posted in: Entertainment, Skills, Video | 0

I have not blogged for a while, busy with my e-commerce business, WWW.BOHOFOREST.COM. I also practise martial arts, San Shou Kuan and other fighting techniques I have learned, almost every day. Even though I only attend the martial arts classes once a week, but the rest of the week I do practise it as much as I can. I want to be able to use these fighting skills in my upcoming short film confidently. So, I have to practise it as often as possible. I feel amazing and my body also feels great. I did not attend the fighting for film workshops yesterday, though. I was busy with my jewellery and cosmetics business, adding products to the website, designing the site, doing the marketing and stuff the day before Sunday till like 3am in the morning. Then I remembered, I had to go to martial arts lessons in the evening on Sunday. But I was too tired, hadn’t got enough sleep, so I didn’t go anyway. And I didn’t feel good about it. Well, if you can’t then you can’t. I do practise it almost daily. So, to skip the workshops once in a while shouldn’t make such a huge difference. Now, I feel much better.

I spent my weekend working on my e-commerce business instead of working on my short film’s script. Today, I will spend my whole day producing my screenplay then. Then tomorrow, I also have to attend acting class. So, I will see how far I can get my film script done today.

Practising The Split

posted in: Entertainment, Skills | 0

I’m practising The Split. I have to do it every day if I want to be able to do split legs. I could do it a long time ago when I was much younger. But now, I’m not so good no more. Everything needs practice. If you don’t practise you can’t possess the skills – no matter how young or old you are. Practice is everything. So, I begin to practise it every morning. It seems to get easier and easier the more I practise. So I think, I should make a video to record my progress. I will make videos as often as possible, to see my improvement in doing split legs training day by day. It’s a great way to motivate myself that I can do it since I can see how good I am day after day. When you can see just some kind of¬†breakthrough you feel you CAN do it. It makes you want to keep going. That’s all the incentive I need to reach my goal.

Same with writing. I have to re-program my thinking that I have to write as if my life depends on it. It does, actually, help. Last night, I watched the films and worked on my short film script until almost 2am this morning. I expect my short film to be finished in November or something. But I think, I might manage to complete it before that. This is exciting! I don’t want to give myself a short deadline. What if I couldn’t make it on time? I don’t like making promises I can’t keep. So, it’s better to give myself a good time. Then, If I managed to¬†accomplish before that then it’s good. If not, then I still have plenty of time to do so. After this blog post, I will continue to work on my short film script again.
