I haven’t blogged much recently. I just work on my jewellery business constantly. Getting my business off the ground is my top priority at the moment. All other things can wait. I’m getting there. It’s not that easy to start a trade – big or small. So I have to be patient and run my new startup carefully. It’s the same like making films. You have to think hard what you do and where to invest your energy and resource in. You have to make a plan, draft an outline or business model/plan, market your business, increase the exposure of it, gain new customers, and more.
So by starting my jewellery project, I also train myself how to be a successful filmmaker. A filmmaker, actor, writer, and similar, is also a business person. You need to promote yourself as well, to be seen and noticed in order to be signed with agent (s) that can help further your career, get more acting jobs, sell more scripts, get hired as a film director, and so on. Therefore, for me, running my own business and being an actress/writer/director is pretty much the same thing. You need to have the same mindset, anyway.
Although I am busy starting my own jewellery business, but I still have not forgotten my dreams of becoming a director, screenwriter, and actor. I have yet to complete my drama screenplay. But I am in no hurry since I plan to make the film myself from my drama manuscript I have written. I so look forward to producing and directing my first feature film in the very near future! It’s gonna be exciting. I can sense it. The script is also very unique; the plot is also original and captivating. The ending is even more……So you can’t go wrong with a screenplay like that. Since this story is personal to me, I really like to direct it myself. But I have never directed a feature film before. Therefore my next feature film making project will be a total challenge to me. But I am passionate about films and filmmaking. So I think, I will be alright.
