I’m going to start shooting my new film from tomorrow. I will start with the scenes that are only me in it first. Then, when I have completed my script I will start looking for other actors, and start shooting other scenes with more characters later on. I just have to get it started as soon as possible. I don’t care about people will like it or not, whether or not it’s gonna be good, and so on. The most important thing is to get started! If I spend too much time thinking about it’s not gonna be good, people’re not gonna like it, it has to be perfect, and so forth, I might not gonna get it made at all.
Therefore, I am glad that I have stumbled upon this inspirational quote by Andy Warhol:
[pullquote align=center]Don’t think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it’s good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art.
I will play the main actor. So, whatever scenes I can start shooting first without others I will do it. There’s no time to waste from this moment on. I will get to work as a screenwriter tonight. Then tomorrow, I will start filming. The quote above really wakes me up. It tells me to just do it! If I have not made any film yet how do I know it’s gonna be good or bad? So, I shall have no fear to try. It’s my own fear and the thought of failure that put me off, actually. I have got rid of them after I have read the quote above. Thank goodness! I feel so free now since I no longer care what people will think of my art. Let’s do it!
